Sherrie McGraw: It Takes Two to Paint a Painting

Sherrie McGraw Art Class Starts Tuesday, May 31

The excitement is building for the start of Sherrie McGraw's workshop next week.  Two classes, drawing and painting, have been combined at the Wethersfield Academy for the Arts(WAA)(860)-436-9857 in CT and will run for 5 days from Tuesday through Saturday.  In addition to teaching during the day, Ms. McGraw will give a lecture on Wednesday night at WAA at  6 p.m. on the art of abstract realism and the uniqueness of each artist's vision ($15), followed on Thursday evening by a portrait demo at WAA's corporate sponsor, Hartford Fine Art and Framing (860-528-1409)  at 6 p.m ($35).  Both events are open to the public by reservation.

Premier Show Entries Have Arrived

Sherrie McGraw and Gregg Kreutz will have their hands full judging entries for prize awards for the Wethersfield Premier Show which opens Tuesday, May 31st.  The show will run until June 30th at the corporate sponsor, Hartford Fine Art and Framing, located at 30 Pitkin Street, in East Hartford, CT.  The show promises to be a destination show, with 59 paintings from artists of 20 states across the country.  Here are a few of the entries as they await hanging:  Wethersfield Show Entries for Hanging  Sherrie will concurrently teach a 5-day workshop, present an evening lecture, and give a portrait demonstration.  For more info:  info@wethersfieldarts.org
