Everywhere you turn in Wethersfield, there is a subject waiting patiently to be painted or drawn.  Community artists did just that and submitted their artwork for viewing in the show opening Wednesday August 31st at 6:30 p.m. at the Wethersfield Academy for the Arts, 431 Hartford Avenue.   A variety of media--watercolor, oil, pencil--are all represented in this show of diverse viewpoints and subjects.   Following the opening, the show is open to the public Tuesdays to Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. from now until 9/17.  All artwork is for sale, and a portion of the proceeds benefits WAA's programs.  The show was supported in part by private donations, Prudential, and the Greater Hartford Council for the Arts.
